Positionality Matters is a short, visually rich and interactive guide for helping people of all ages understand how our social positions serve as the lens through which we understand and interpret the world.

Our nation is becoming increasingly plagued by divisiveness, extremist advocacy for exclusionary laws and practices, a rise in hate crimes, and an unprecedented number of violent crimes committed by people who have been socially excluded and aggrieved. We have an urgent need for people of all ages to understand their own positionality, how it influences their beliefs and behaviors, and how they can begin to see things differently in order to help create a more inclusive world that cares for all members of our beautiful and brilliant species. Our wellbeing as a planet, a society, and as individuals depends on it.
